New Year, New Logo!!

new logoHappy New Year!!  We hope you all had a wonderful and joyous holiday season and are ready to tackle the new year.  Here at PAA, we’re feeling rather refreshed and want to let you know about the exciting things that are happening here.  If you have come to a program, visited our galleries, or received any of our literature over the past several weeks, you may have noticed that we are sporting an exciting new logo, and an even more exciting new mission and vision for the future of PAA.

The wonderful team at Parker and Partners Marketing Resources has been working with us for over a year developing our new look and materials.  The new logo above is the first piece in the fruits of their labor, and we are currently working closely with them to further develop a new look for our website, newsletters and promotional materials.  We are eternally thankful for all their help and support during our transition.

With a new logo in place, we are also taking major steps in re-branding the Art Alliance as a pre-eminent presenter of Contemporary Craft and Design.  Our new mission states:

“The Philadelphia Art Alliance is dedicated to the advancement and appreciation of innovative contemporary craft—works in ceramic, glass, fiber, metal and wood—and to inspiring dynamic interaction between audiences and artists in a setting of historic and aesthetic significance.”

In the spirit of this new mission, we have some stunning and thought-provoking exhibitions planned for the coming months.  Our new programming streams will also bring highly touted presenters and craftspeople to the Art Alliance to give informative and entertaining lectures, panel discussions and presentations on current issues and practices in Contemporary Craft and Design.  We hope you will join us for our next Gallery Opening Reception on Thursday, February 11th at 5:30 PM, when we will celebrate the opening of two fantastic exhibitions.  We’ll cover those in our next post, stay tuned!!
